Job Description - Site/Resident Engineer




Job Summary



The Site Engineer supervises day-to-day construction activities, ensuring technical compliance, proper sequencing of works, and adherence to project specifications.







Key Responsibilities



​



• Supervise site operations and construction execution. 



• Prepare and review method statements and work procedures. 



• Ensure construction follows approved drawings and specifications. 



• Monitor productivity, materials usage, and workforce performance. 



• Coordinate contractors and subcontractors. 



• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues. 



• Maintain site records and progress reports. 



• Support quality and safety compliance.


Requirements



Requirements



  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. 

  • 4- 6+ years experience in road or infrastructure projects. 

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and site supervision.

  • Technical Supervision: Ability to translate complex IFC (Issue for Construction) drawings into field execution without supervision.

  • Asphalt Quality Control: Hands-on experience with asphalt laying, ensuring correct temperature, thickness, and compaction.

  • Labor Management: Proven ability to manage large gangs of site workers and subcontractors to meet weekly linear meter targets.
