Job Description - Social Media Specialist & Content Creator

Job Summary: 


 



  • Responsible for all digital content promotional activities across web/mobile/social platforms for Livespot 360 products/services and her clientele, as well as communications for raising awareness, driving sales and/or attendance, and delivering the objectives of each project. 



  • Responsible for the company and its clients’ projects / brands on all digital content channels (website, social media, and other digital marketing assets) and advocating the company and its clients on across various digital networks.  



  • Core duties include:  


 



  1. Concept ideation: Work with the Senior Content Strategist and Creative Services to develop and drive creative concepts for content marketing purposes by researching, developing, and writing creative proposals that clearly convey the business and clients’ goals through both strategic and tactical means. 

  2. Content Creation: Develop and edit content (picture, video and copy) for digital advertising across paid and organic platforms (web/social/mobile) and develop content for information or promotional purposes across several digital channels. 

  3. Content Marketing: Promote the right content to the right audience and at the right time for both Livespot 360 and her clients. The ideal candidate will understand global content marketing practices as well local nuances and trends to consider in marketing the right content via the right channel. 


 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 


 



  • As a Content Creator: responsible for the company and its clients’ projects / brands on social media and other digital platforms such as corporate website and/or campaign microsite, involving the creation of content, responding to comments, questions, requests and forums, monitoring responses and re-use, uploading new information and visuals, and much more as the projects / brands; and dealing with people who have a relationship with, or have heard of, the projects / brands.  



  • As a Community Moderator: responsible for advocating and boosting awareness of the company and its clients’ projects / brands brand on various digital networks; creating the brands’ social persona and actively going out within the online community to connect with potential customers and advocate the company and its clients’ projects / brands; typically deal with those who haven’t heard of the company or its clients’ projects / brands. 



  • As a Trend spotter: responsible for researching the Internet and relevant blogs, forums and other social media platforms for immediate opportunities, and working with team members to ensure the latest news and visuals are incorporated into the overall content marketing strategy for each project. 



  • Activate each content marketing plan, including but not limited to, frequently updating the social media accounts, website and blogs, and other regular activities that result in the strategic distribution of the company and its clients’ Page 1 of 2 projects / brands’ content across a variety of different social networks. 



  • Ensure all content marketing activities deliver engagement and align with other Digital Marketing, PR and the overall Marketing strategy. 



  • Manage all content assets (social media, blog, website, microsites, etc.) for the company and each client’s projects. 



  • Recommend social media advertising; online advertising and programmatic; digital promotions and search engine marketing; app development; gamification of content; search engine optimisation and activity, email marketing; and other complimentary Digital Marketing, as necessary. 



  • Working closely with videographers and photographers to deliver content that appropriately showcases what Livespot and Sister brands do. 



  • Monitor, control, evaluate and report the progress and results of content marketing campaigns as required (weekly or daily basis according to project). 



  • Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company's marketing efforts are innovative and effective. 



  • Responsible for using and maintaining the filing system of the company at all times and in line with existing policies. 



  • Undertaking any necessary duties to ensure a first-class service is provided always. 



  • Being an ambassador for the business always. 


 


Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required: 


 



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification preferably in PR or Mass Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Content Marketing, Marketing.  



  • Digitally savvy with 2 or more years extensive experience using various digital content marketing channels, tools and techniques, as well as a substantial social media footprint (i.e. managed successful accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Blogger, Reddit, Google+ etc.).  



  • Core experience in social media management, content creation, digital media buying, Email marketing, and social media AD buying. 



  • Experienced Internet, Email and Google applications user. 



  • Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 



  • Experienced writer, who can turn out quality copy quickly and on time. 



  • Sound knowledge of the creative, marketing, experiential and entertainment industries in Nigeria. 



  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and continuous learning. 



  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.  



  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to articulate ideas and strategies to clients and internal stakeholders. 



  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 



  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. 


 


Location: 



  • Lagos, Nigeria; including other locations as needed. 


 


Office Hours: 



  • 08.00 to 17.00 Mondays to Fridays
