Job Description - Training and Development Officer

Job Title: Training and Development Officer

Location:Lagos Nigeria

Job Summary:
Koolboks is seeking a proactive and innovative Training and Development Officer to enhance our team's capabilities and support our mission of providing sustainable refrigeration solutions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs to foster employee growth, drive performance, and align with our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate training needs across all departments through performance reviews, surveys, and collaboration with managers.
  • Design and develop engaging training programs and materials that address identified needs and support Koolboks' strategic goals.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in -person and virtually, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of our employees.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; refine and enhance programs based on evaluation results.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes; generate reports on training impact and effectiveness.
  • Partner with department heads and team leaders to ensure that training initiatives are aligned with departmental objectives and contribute to overall organizational success.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to improve training programs continually and introduce innovative solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
Experience:2 -5 years of experience in training and development, with a proven track record of successful program design and implementation.

Skills:
Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to develop engaging and effective training content.
Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and training technologies.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

Preferred:
Certification in Training and Development (e.g., CPTD, ATD) or equivalent.
Experience with e -learning platforms and instructional design.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and renewable energy technologies
