Job Description - Warehouse Associate, Port Harcourt

Summary:

This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of warehouse operations. The individual will be responsible for managing the flow of merchandise by accurately tracking inventory movements, ensuring proper handling and documentation of goods, and upholding strict safety and quality standards. By adhering to established SOPs and FIFO practices, the role contributes directly to operational reliability, inventory accuracy, and seamless supply chain performance. The position also supports management reporting and inventory audits, ensuring transparency and accountability across all warehouse activities.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain accurate records of merchandise entering and exiting the warehouse.
Receive and document all incoming shipments and returned goods with precision.
Identify and report missing, lost, or damaged materials to the supervisor immediately.
Safely pack, label, and prepare merchandise for shipping in compliance with standards.
Handle all inventory with care to prevent damage or loss.
Support the organization and layout of the warehouse in alignment with established SOPs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional warehouse environment at all times.
Ensure stock is stored and rotated using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
Assist in the preparation of management reports on a regular basis.
Participate in periodic spot checks and full stock takes as required.
