Responsibilities
• Work alongside experienced buyers to choose the latest and most appealing products for our shelves • Learn to analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to make informed purchasing decisions • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and ensuring timely deliveries • Contribute to maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and maximizing sales • Assist in negotiating pricing and promotional deals to ensure competitiveness and profitability • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to align product selections with overall business strategies
Requirements
• B.Sc./HND in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics or related disciplines • Recent graduate or individuals with 1-2 years of experience in a retail or related field • Not more than 30 years of age • Must have completed NYSC or have exemption letter • Passion for Retail: A genuine interest in retail and a desire to understand customer needs • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing retail environment • Team Player: A collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively in a team
