Head of Sales

About the Company
VeriPass is a specialist immigration consultancy helping exceptional professionals - founders, researchers, engineers, creatives, and executives - secure immigration pathways to the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Our pathways are talent-based: no employer sponsorship required, no lotteries, no job offers.
The case is built entirely around the client's professional profile.
We do not fill forms. We build cases - and we only file when a case is ready to win. Our approval rate reflects that standard, and maintaining it is non-negotiable.
We are at an inflection point. The sales infrastructure is in place, the team is active, and qualified leads are coming in consistently. What we need now is a Head of Sales who can take what exists, professionalise it, and scale it.
Role Overview
As Head of Sales, you will own the entire revenue function - strategy, team performance, systems, and
conversion. You will report directly to the CEO, manage an existing team of four closers and a cold calling unit, and be responsible for building the infrastructure that takes the sales operation from high-functioning to best-in-class.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will coach, you will build, and when the situation calls for it, you will get on calls yourself. We are looking for someone who leads from the front and holds the team to the same standard they hold themselves.
The right person for this role combines commercial sharpness with genuine care for how clients are treated.
Our clients are making one of the biggest decisions of their professional lives. The sales process must be consultative, honest, and pressure-free. High conversion and high integrity are not in tension here. They are the same thing.
The Standard We Hire To
The Head of Sales at VeriPass owns revenue. Not revenue strategy. Not revenue conversations. Revenue. We are not looking for someone who can explain what went wrong. We are looking for someone who saw it coming, moved early, and kept the number.
Ambitious targets are not set here to be celebrated for trying. They are set to be met. If that framing excites you - this role was made for you.
Key Responsibilities
STRATEGY & REVENUE
- Own the end-to-end sales strategy and be directly accountable for monthly and quarterly revenue
targets.
- Define and continuously refine the sales process - from cold outreach and lead qualification through to Discovery Calls, close, and payment collection.
- Build and maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports for the CEO and leadership team.
- Identify revenue gaps early and design interventions before they become misses.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage the existing team of four closers and the cold calling unit.
- Conduct regular call reviews, mock calls, and one-to-one coaching sessions to raise the performance
standard continuously.
- Recruit and onboard additional sales professionals as the team scales.
- Build a culture of accountability, honest feedback, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
- Identify and fast-track high performers manage consistent underperformers with clarity and fairness.
SYSTEMS & PROCESS
- Own the CRM - ensure every lead, call, outcome, and follow-up action is logged in real time without
exception.
- Enforce speed-to-lead standards: warm leads must be contacted within 15 minutes of form submission.
- Build and maintain sales playbooks, objection-handling frameworks, call scripts, and closer training
materials.
- Analyse pipeline data weekly and implement targeted improvements to conversion rate, show rate, and close rate.
- Design and maintain the reporting structure that gives management full visibility on daily and weekly
performance.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Work closely with Marketing to improve lead quality, provide campaign feedback, and align on
messaging.
- Partner with Operations to ensure seamless handoffs from closed client to onboarding - no lead should
fall through the gap between sales and fulfillment.
- Communicate the voice of the client back to leadership - what prospects are asking, what objections are recurring, what the market is saying.
What We're Looking For
NON-NEGOTIABLE
- 7 or more years of B2C or high-ticket sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role.
- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams - you can evidence this with
numbers.
- Experience selling premium or high-value advisory, consulting, or professional services at $3,000 or
above.
- Demonstrated ability to build and enforce a sales process - not just manage people, but engineer
systems.
- Strong coaching instinct - you raise the floor of the team, not just celebrate the ceiling.
- Data fluency - you live in the CRM, you understand pipeline velocity, and you make decisions from
evidence.
- A consultative sales philosophy - you close with integrity, not pressure, and you expect the same from
your team.
- Experience leading fully remote sales teams across multiple time zones.
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Background in immigration, legal services, education, or professional advisory.
- Experience with HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, or comparable CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with cold calling operations - setting KPIs, managing dial volumes, and holding callers to
quality standards.
- Experience scaling a small team (under 10) through a growth phase without losing quality or culture.
- Comfortable in a high-trust environment where the product changes lives, and the sales conversation
must reflect that weight.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. You will be in the calls, in the CRM, and in the weeds with the team.
This is not a role for someone who equates high pressure with high performance. Our clients are making life-changing decisions. The sales process must be consultative, honest, and respectful of that.
This is not a role for someone who builds playbooks and leaves them on a shelf. Everything you build must be implemented, iterated, and enforced.
This is not a role for someone who treats CRM compliance as optional. Full logging is a non-negotiable operating standard.
This is not a role for the hopeful. It is a role for the deliberate - someone who knows the difference between a target that is set and a target that is owned, and who only accepts the latter.
How Success Is Measured
In the first 30-60 days, success looks like: full understanding of the current pipeline, documented gaps in the sales process, a coaching cadence established with every closer, and at least one measurable improvement in show rate or conversion rate.
On an ongoing basis, you will be measured against the following:
Operating Principles
The Head of Sales is expected to model and enforce the following non-negotiable standards across the team:
- Honesty over hype. We never guarantee visa outcomes. We never overstate the client's chances. We never use pressure tactics. We close with evidence and integrity.
- Build before file. Our fulfillment team does not file cases before they are ready. The sales team must
never overpromise timelines or outcomes that fulfillment cannot deliver.
- Speed is a standard. Warm leads are contacted within 15 minutes. Missed discovery calls are chased within 5. Payment conversations are followed up the same day.
- The CRM is the truth. If it is not in the CRM, it did not happen. No exceptions, no workarounds.
- Every lead is a person. The professionals we speak to are making one of the most significant
decisions of their career. Every interaction must reflect the weight of that.
