Content Intern

Duplo is a Lagos-based fintech startup that enables businesses in Africa to automate their spend management, simplify cross-border payments, and control business finances all on one platform.

We want to make B2B payments as simple as P2P payment apps. Most business payments in Africa are made offline….yikes. We are on a mission to transform this. This is a unique opportunity. You'll have the responsibility and resources to take a significant part in the creation of a paradigm-changing product that will impact millions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the content team in creating written content, including blog posts, newsletters, social media copy, and marketing collateral.

• Support video content creation, including scripting, basic editing, and motion graphics for social and digital campaigns.

• Support with localizing content for different regions (Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya), ensuring relevance and consistency with Duplo’s brand voice.

• Conduct research on fintech trends, payments, and business finance topics to support content development.

• Assist in managing content calendars and ensuring timely publication across channels.

• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to produce visuals that complement written content.

• Support the tracking of engagement metrics and contribute insights to improve content performance.
  

• Support ad-hoc content needs for campaigns, events, and regional activations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  
  


• Basic skills in content creation tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe Premiere, or similar).

• Interest in fintech, B2B marketing, and African business ecosystems.

• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Portfolio of writing or video projects (can include school projects or personal work) is a plus.
