Job Description - Digital Traineeship


At Automatic Pallet, we have set out a paid Digital Traineeship programme which is instrumental in helping students and graduates broaden their experience as well as boost their CVs. This is particularly relevant today when we are confronted with a radical digital transformation of our society and economy, which requires pooling efforts to quickly adjust and seize new opportunities.

Customer Acquisition and Retention

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Design and implement Digital Marketing Plan
  • Manage marketing budgets
  • Use of webmaster SEO, SEM and E-commerce tools
  • Analyse and track data
  • Assess ROI of digital marketing

SEO Manager

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Evaluate what spiderbots see and make recommendations
  • Monitor site performance including traffic ranking and indexing
  • Conduct a keyword, ranking and indexing analysis

SEM Manager

WHAT THEY DO:

E-commerce Manager

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Oversee online sales and presence
  • Ensure there is a consistent brand image that attracts customers by encouraging sales on the web
  • Oversee a team of web designers and software developers who create the online transaction system and look of the website

Social Network Manager

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Monitor brand activity on social networks
  • Analyse customer feedback
  • Generate social media content
  • Manage ‘channel red’ situations

Online Media Buyer

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Research target audience and best way to reach them
  • Negotiate, purchase and monitor advertising space to reach the highest number of people for the lowest possible cost
  • Often based in advertising and media agencies

Webmaster

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Manage the everyday running of a website or web app
  • Maintain content ensuring the website’s code is compatible with browsers, fixing broken links and images and adding content when required
  • Constantly test the site for functionality, ease of use and load time

Quality Assurance and Tester

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Check to see whether a website or app is meeting specified requirements
  • Check out all functionality to ensure it does what it should
  • Proofread online content and spot typos and incorrect images and graphics

Graphics and Media Developer

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Create the look and feel of a website or app
  • Produce graphics, animations and video elements

Online Content Writer and Curator

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Review content in the network
  • Create dynamic content (their own or from other users or sources)
  • Select appropriate and valuable content to include on the website, app or social media
  • Use and monetize content to achieve business goals

User Experience Specialist

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty by improving the usability, ease of use, and engagement between the customer and a website or app
  • Assess if a website or application makes sense to the target user groups and make recommendations on how to make it more effective as a user experience

Data Analyst

WHAT THEY DO:

  • Collect data (through Analytics etc.)
  • Use data to set up models
  • Generate patterns and trends
  • Provide the data to inform business decisions
