Job Description - Partnerships & Development Intern

Summary:

The Partnerships & Development Intern will support the Partnerships & Development team in identifying, engaging, and cultivating strategic relationships with corporate partners, donors, government agencies, and other key stakeholders. This role is critical to advancing the organization’s mission of empowering young people through education, entrepreneurship, and work readiness programs by helping secure essential resources. The intern will contribute directly to fundraising and partnership success through research, proposal development, donor engagement, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring all efforts are aligned with strategic goals, well-documented, and results-driven.

Responsibilities:

Conduct targeted research to identify prospective corporate, foundation, government, and individual funding partners that align with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities.
Assist in drafting and preparing partnership proposals, concept notes, sponsorship requests, grant applications, and presentation materials for prospective partners and donors.
Support the coordination of meetings, follow-ups, and communications with current and potential partners, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in stakeholder databases.
Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, sponsorship drives, partnership events, and donor engagement initiatives.
Compile partnership reports, track funding opportunities, document partnership activities, and support the preparation of donor reports and impact updates.
Collaborate with the Programs, Marketing & Communications, and Monitoring & Evaluation teams to gather program data, success stories, impact metrics, and communication assets for partnership and donor outreach.
