Remote Accountant

Job Description:

As a Remote Accountant at Lafarge Africa, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to support the company's financial operations and contribute to its overall success.

Responsibilities: 1. Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll 2. Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports for management 3. Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards 4. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes 5. Work closely with the finance team to support financial operations 6. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance 7. Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls 8. Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives 9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records 10. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2. CPA or ACCA certification is a plus 3. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience 4. Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite 5. Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 8. Ability to work independently and in a team 9. Confidence and resilience in dealing with financial challenges 10. Proficiency in negotiation and project management
