Accountant

Job Description: TotalEnergies is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team in Port Harcourt, NG on a part-time basis. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position is an entry-level role, requiring at least 1 year of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities: - Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries - Prepare financial statements and reports for review by management - Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis - Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed - Participate in the month-end and year-end close procedures

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field - Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Confidence and adaptability in a fast-paced environment - Creativity in problem-solving and time management skills
