Orkla Snacks is looking for a structured and results driven Food Legislation Specialist

Orkla Snacks is now seeking a Food Legislation Specialist for a one‑year temporary position. Recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the world’s 100 most influential companies, Orkla Snacks is a place where your contribution creates real impact.

As a Food Legislation Specialist, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our products’ compliance, ensuring accurate and informative labelling, and supporting our manufacturing and R&D teams. You will work closely with stakeholders across different countries, contributing your expertise to improve procedures and support product innovation—all while ensuring compliance with local and EU food legislation.

This position is based in Norway. Occasional business trips in the Baltic and Nordic countries are part of the role. You will be part of an international PMO and Food Legislation team that supports, challenges, and brings out the best in each other. The position reports to report to Food Legislation Manager, and you will join a team of 4 employees based across different countries.

Your Responsibilities

• Safeguard the labeling process to ensure products meet quality and safety requirements.


• Work closely with production and category R&D teams to improve manufacturing procedures and products according to current and future legal requirements.


• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of "back of pack" ingredient declarations, nutritional information, and claims based on recipes and master data.


• Verify raw material specifications and product labels to ensure compliance with food legislation.


• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and customers.


• Support process improvements and identify opportunities for innovation in labelling and compliance management.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, Engineering, or a related field.


• At least 2 years of experience in Operations, Regulatory, or Quality environments, working closely with food legislation and labelling.


• Experience within the FMCG sector and food manufacturing is a plus.


• Understanding of regulatory, quality, and supply chain aspects of labelling and the impact of non-compliance.


• Familiarity with EU food labelling legislation and processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.


• Strong resilience and ability to work independently with self-motivation.


• Results-driven with a high sense of responsibility.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities across organizational levels and countries.


• Fluency in written and spoken English and Norwegian


• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Dragonfly is a plus.
