The Systems Engineer II is responsible for designing installing and maintaining the network and system infrastructure for Alliance Technologies as well as that of our clients. The Engineer is charged with ensuring that the IT services are reliable secure and scalable while meeting the business needs and objectives for our clients environment. The Systems Engineer II will also serve as a subject matter expert for their assigned clients and will also provide updates to documentation and serve as a consultant providing guidance on the clients technology roadmap. In addition the SEII will serve as a solution champion tasked with ensuring that the technology stack supports the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical projects providing design planning and implementation services working with both Client and Alliance Internal teams to complete the projects.
• Maintain an active role meeting with customer teams to ensure team success
• Serve as a change approver as part of Change Management Processes
• Work with Systems Management team to enforce and maintain standards and procedures required to manage and support the IT Infrastructure of Alliance and our clients
• Serve as an escalation point from Advanced Support team for more complex situations that impact multiple devices services or platforms
• Develop standards for patching configurations monitoring platforms automations and configuration management platforms
• Work across all support teams to develop new automations and procedures that streamline IT operations
• Execute Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity testing for clients
• Serve as a mentor for our Engineering and project teams
• Participate in oncall rotation to provide technical assistance afterhours for critical issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher focused on computer science information systems or related area
• 4 years experience in a systems engineering roles
• Ability to work in a high volume and fastpaced environment supporting complex environments
• Cloud Services utilizing Azure Compute Storage and DBaaS Stacks
• Proficient with designing implementing and troubleshooting the following technologies:
  • Active Directory Deployments and Configuration
  • DNS & DHCP Services
  • DistributedFileServices
  • Group Policy Management
  • Windows Server (2016) Installation configuration and management
  • Virtualized environments with Microsoft HyperV and VMware
  • SDWANTechnologies
  • MicrosoftSQLServer
  • Switches Firewalls Wireless technologies (Cisco Cisco Meraki HPE Fortinet)
  • Backup and Restore Technologies such as Datto Acronis Veeam
  • Workload Migrations for example onpremises to cloud cloudtocloud servertoserver
  • Microsoft Intune and device management
  • Webserver technologies such as IIS / Apache / NGINX

• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience implementing security best practices such as server and firewall hardening
• Experience in scripting with PowerShell Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience with Version Control Platforms such as GIT GITHUB or Azure DevOps
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment platforms for automating software deployments utilizing tools like Azure Pipelines
• Ability to provide technical assistance across multiple technical environments
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously
• Deliver a whiteglove experience for our clients
