Aker Solutions Structural & Marine department based in Bergen, Norway consists of 90 well qualified and experienced engineers. 50 + engineers work within specialized services and delivers world class technology within marine analyses for floating and fixed installations, structural integrity assessments and riser solutions. Some examples are: Wave in deck analyses, non-linear structural assessments (CFD), establish and maintain structural reanalyses models for numerous installations, stability analyses, mooring analyses, linear structural assessments and analyses, advanced FEM analyses by use of Abaqus, Riser and Umbilical analyses, weight control in the operation phase for 70+ installations in the North Sea, etc. In addition to this our engineers participate in smaller and major multidiscipline modification projects like Njord upgrade, Troll phase III, Electrification of TRB and TRC, Mongstad onshore projects etc.

In order to strengthen our team assigned to Riser solutions, Aker Solutions in Bergen is looking for a Senior Engineer Riser who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the market.

What will you be doing?

• You will be joining a dedicated team of engineers and develop your engineering skills by working with some of the best engineers in the industry
• Training will be given and you will receive a buddy to guide you while developing your skills and learn as you go
• Take part in seeking new ways of working to increase effectiveness, develop renewable solutions and reduse carbon emissions
• Work with dynamic risers, Umbilical analysis, component analysis and FEM analysis
• You will learn to execute according to and contribute to develop an industry leading project execution model
• Get results together with offshore and onshore operators and work together with large clients within the energy industry
• Possibility to work across segments and locations if this is of interest to you
• Offshore and site travel is possible, but not required
• Home office and flexible work conditions can be arranged

We think you should have:

• Relevant technical education. If you have a Master in Marine Technology you will have a great background to develop with us
• To succeed, we believe you need to have some years experience from the energy industry
• Being self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills are great personal skills that will be appreciated in this role
• Language skills: fluent oral and written, in both Norwegian and English is an advantage
• Preferred software skills: Orcaflex, Flexcom, ABAQUS, Usfos. Training will be given
