A convenient and affordable service offer plays an instrumental role in providing a seamless shopping experience to IKEA customers. At IKEA, customers can choose to do everything themselves. For the customers that want a little help with their order, IKEA offers a wide choice of services, ranging from home deliveries to installation and assembly services. For many of these services, IKEA enters into strategic partnerships with third party service providers, closely collaborating on the service offer and its development.

This is a full time position at IKEA Service Office located at Billingstad.

Your responsibilities

As a sourcing developer, you lead the strategic sourcing of transport and home delivery services for IKEA Norway.

Key responsibilities include the management of existing contracts with delivery service suppliers, including supplier relationship management, negotiations and the follow up and optimization of cost.

In addition, the role secures the right solution and supplier portfolio for the future. This involves market research of the Norwegian transport sector, leading sourcing activities such as tenders and contract negotiations as well as the optimization between outsourced, insourced or crowdsourced solutions.

This role also plays an instrumental part of IKEA’s sustainability agenda by leading the transformation of all customer home deliveries in Norway towards zero emission. This entails the exploration of new emission-free technologies and the creation and implementation of clear strategies for the adaptation of zero emission vehicles in the delivery chain.

In this role, you will also collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as operations and commercial teams on shaping the IKEA service offer. Conducting cost analyses, evaluating different business scenarios and presenting of the resulting insights are therefore also an essential part of the role.

Qualifications

• University degree in logistics, business administration, leadership, economics or relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to communicate in both norwegian and english.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Analytical competence and understanding of financials.
• Knowledge of the transport industry and home delivery market. Or you are a quick learner.
• Business acumen, strategic thinking and business development skills.
