Concept and layout team manager, Process Systems

The Concept and Piping & Layout Team Manager reports to the Global Engineering Disciplines Director and is responsible for steering a multidisciplinary team of Concept, Piping and layout, and 3D CAD engineers. The role ensures compliance with HSE standards, aligns engineering delivery with Process Systems strategy, and drives continuous improvement while meeting client expectations and financial targets.

• Provide overall leadership, coaching and performance management for the Concept and Piping & Layout team.
• Act as an HSE role model and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain core competencies, identify skill gaps and implement training plans.
• Participate in budget preparation, control overheads and manage workload to avoid under‑recovery.
• Define, document and enforce systematic engineering methods and change‑management processes.
• Oversee concept, tender and early‑phase activities, ensuring sufficient design basis and weight estimation using the Wellstream database.
• Manage project execution risks and opportunities, guaranteeing delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
• Maintain clear interfaces between layout work and the broader project organization and attend client meetings as required.
• Promote operational excellence, lessons learned and best‑practice sharing across disciplines.
• Support the global organization and contribute actively to the engineering management team.

• 10+ years of relevant oilfield services experience, including at least 6 years in piping, area layout engineering.
• Engineering degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Strong multi‑disciplinary understanding and solid value‑chain knowledge.
• Proven commercial awareness and ability to manage project financials.
• Broad industrial network and experience with EPC and EP deliveries.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making and responsibility‑taking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop technical teams.
• Pro‑active, innovative mindset with a strong client orientation.
• Commitment to HSE best practices and continuous improvement.
