In this role, you will help strengthen and evolve Circle K’s energy capabilities by ensuring our charging network scales efficiently and with strong commercial impact. You’ll join our eMobility team, a scale-up with global ambitions and a clear mission to our customers through the renewable energy transition. 

Circle K is among the leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs) in Energy Management. We use batteries as an essential part of our charging strategy and have built expertise in participating in flexibility markets across different regions. In this role, you will help strengthen and evolve Circle K’s energy capabilities by ensuring our charging network scales efficiently and with strong commercial impact. 

You’ll join our eMobility team, a scale-up with global ambitions and a clear mission to our customers through the renewable energy transition. This role is a central part of our Network Development team, shaping concepts and collaborating across European markets to scale our energy and charging solutions. 

Your responsibilities 

Evolve Circle K’s energy management capabilities: 

• Further develop our proven energy management concept, such as flexibility trading, BESS optimization, and smart charging, to grow our network and enhance customer experience. 

• Collaborate with software and service partners, battery suppliers, aggregators and grid operators to advance our concept, enable scalable operations and bring pilots to life. 

Turn insights into impact:  

• Analyze performance data from our stations and energy assets to enhance efficiency, reliability, and long-term site value across markets. 

• Continuously monitor BESS and EMS performance, transforming insights into actionable improvements that drive stronger commercial and operational outcomes. 

Scale our energy solutions across European markets:  

• Support our European markets in scaling energy solutions that make our sites more flexible, resilient and commercially attractive. 

• Develop standards and training material to set our business units and project engineers up for success.  

• Drive lobbying efforts by pushing boundaries and advocating for innovative solutions within the energy space. 

Drive cross-functional alignment: 

• Align stakeholders around clear goals, success metrics, and launch criteria. 

• Ensure roadmap and initiatives align with commercial needs and Circle K’s broader eMobility strategy. 

What you bring 

• BA or MSc in engineering, technology, or a related field 

• Ability to translate regulatory, technical, and market complexity into practical, high-impact solutions at scale 

• A passionate for creating and real-world impact in the energy sector 

• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data, dashboards, and metrics 

• Comfortable working in a matrix organization and collaborating across teams and geographies 

• Structured, organized, and result‑oriented, with a proactive problem‑solving mindset 

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
