Facility Manager

As the senior operational leader on site, you will be accountable for operations, safety, quality, customer service, cost management and employee leadership. You will provide day-to-day leadership across all site activities, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and Sherwin-Williams requirements while delivering operational, financial and customer service objectives.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys working close to the operation, developing people, solving problems and driving continuous improvement.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the facility and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take overall responsibility for site performance, including volume, quality, cost, service and operational efficiency.
• Lead and engage employees, providing clear direction, coaching, feedback and support to develop individual and team performance.
• Champion customer satisfaction and ensure the facility consistently delivers agreed customer and service expectations.
• Ensure full compliance with Sherwin-Williams policies and procedures, legal requirements, EHS, safety, security and hazardous material handling standards.
• Monitor operational activities and performance against agreed KPIs and business objectives.
• Support the achievement of facility sales, operating profit, volume and margin targets.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure effective stock management and accurate annual physical inventory.
• Support the facility capital plan and identify suitable equipment, technologies and working practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor and report KPIs, improvement initiatives and operational projects, sharing best practices across the EMEA organization where appropriate.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, coordinating external technical support where required.
• Support the management of customer complaints and act as an escalation point for operational and customer-related issues.
• Lead or support Health, Safety and Environmental improvement initiatives and ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure effective implementation of HR processes, with particular focus on employee engagement, performance management and talent development.
• Identify and address urgent operational, safety, quality and environmental issues with a strong sense of urgency.
• Effectively communicate with and mobilize teams across all levels of the organization and escalate issues appropriately.
• Travel occasionally to other Sherwin-Williams sites in Europe as required.

What We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in customer relations, logistics and operational team management.
• Experience with Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and management.
• Knowledge of facility installations and relevant regulations.
• Experience working with internal management systems and operational processes.
• Strong understanding of business performance, costs and key operational metrics.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong computer skills and ability to work with operational and business systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and operational challenges effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to analyse data, identify risks and translate objectives into clear action plans.
• Experience with maintenance, equipment troubleshooting or operational technical matters is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Sherwin-Williams systems such as MIRA, Discovery and ECOMET is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of safety, loss prevention, security and hazardous material handling requirements.

• Annual gross salary in the range of: 720 000 NOK – 920 000 NOK
