We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our Finance Team at Airthings.

The position is based at our head office in downtown Oslo.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting
Ensure a timely and accurate close process in collaboration with the finance team and other financial controllers
Collaborate and help prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with NGAAP
Review and control external accountants’ deliveries for the parent company and subsidiaries
Perform and improve balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and transparency
Monitor accounts receivable, cash collection, and working capital development
Order-to-Cash & Expense Management
Manage customer invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Conduct credit checks and assess ongoing credit risk for customers
Follow up on accounts receivable, cash collection, and dunning processes
Handle customer queries, account discrepancies, and create credit notes
Oversee company debit card transactions and employee expense documentation
Strengthen controls and improve processes for expense tracking and compliance
Systems, Automation & Process Improvement
Manage financial operations and workflows in Visma.net, Zuora, payroll platforms, and other systems
Take ownership of the billing/subscription platform, including system and process improvements
Drive automation and efficiency across finance processes, including reconciliations, reporting, and invoicing
Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve system integrations, data quality, and reporting capabilities
Challenge existing ways of working and implement best practices in financial operations using technology
Key Qualifications & Skills
Master or BSc in finance or accounting (NGAAP)
0–4 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
High level of systems interest and digital maturity, with the ability to quickly learn new tools
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/billing systems
Experience with or interest in automation, data analysis, and process optimization
Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English
