General Manager - Power Grid Software Portfolio

We are now looking for a General Manager to take full accountability for our Power Grid software product line. This portfolio delivers essential solutions for planning, operating, and optimising power grids across Europe and beyond.

As General Manager, you will not only ensure that the product line is delivered efficiently and evolves to stay ahead of market needs, but also play a critical role in driving business growth through strategic partnerships, go-to-market execution, and commercial alignment. You will work closely with Sales, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing, guiding the broader cross-functional team through a matrix setup with several dotted-line relationships.

A key strategic focus for this role is to grow and maintain a strong Nordic position whilst expanding into the wider European market. You will lead the charge in scaling our footprint, shaping commercial strategy in close collaboration with the CRO, and securing long-term competitiveness in new and existing geographies.

As General Manager for the Power Grid software portfolio, you will align cross-functional efforts across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Customer teams. You’ll create the conditions for effective collaboration, support team leads, and foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Own the full profit & loss responsibility for the Power Grid product portfolio, ensuring financial performance aligns with company targets




• Drive go-to-market execution in close partnership with the CRO, including pricing, packaging, and positioning




• Build and nurture partnerships and business development opportunities to expand Volue’s presence in existing and new markets




• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (Development, Product Management, UX, Delivery, Sales, CS, Marketing) to ensure high-quality execution and strong customer outcomes




• Guide resource planning by aligning with key functional leaders to secure needed capacity and skills




• Champion a collaborative, performance-driven team culture across all involved functions




• Ensure product and service delivery are aligned with customer needs, technical vision, and market expectations




• Define and maintain product and business roadmaps in close collaboration with Product and Commercial leadership




• Monitor and optimise key performance indicators across delivery, adoption, satisfaction, and financial metrics




• Participate in the Extended Leadership Team (XLT), helping shape the broader strategic direction of Volue

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or commercial field preferred


• Proven experience in leading software and/or commercial teams, ideally in a cross-functional, matrix organisation


• Experience in business development, partnerships, or go-to-market strategy


• Strong understanding of software delivery and commercial operations, including resource allocation, metrics, and customer success


• Experience with P&L responsibility and scaling B2B or SaaS businesses


• Background in product-led or solution-led organisations, ideally in energy tech, infrastructure software, or SaaS


• Familiarity with the energy or power grid domain is a strong advantage


• Ability to lead through influence, build alignment across teams, and drive execution at scale


• Skilled communicator and relationship builder, both internally and externally


• Structured and pragmatic, with the ability to balance strategic vision with operational realities


• Passion for building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams
