SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Ensure Jotun has tools, systems, solutions and communication relevant towards our Energy Customer Group; reaching across our product categories and our customers main areas of usage; with the intention of ensuring profitable growth for Jotun and strengthen our market position.As a Global Solutions Manager – Energy, you will be central to Jotun’s efforts in the Energy market. Based on solid understanding of the industry and of Jotun’s offering, you will work to develop relevant solutions, tools, material and communication that will enable Jotun to continue our growth path within this key customer group. You will manage the Energy Solutions team and together with key stakeholders from other functions you will play an active part in setting the direction for Jotun’s global efforts within this industry.
Location: This role should preferably be based in one of our regional hubs such as Dubai, Kuala Lumpur or Shanghai
Responsibilities
Manage and develop the overall Energy Solutions team, and work closely with other functions to grow Jotun’s business within these industries.
Build deep understanding of customer needs and drivers within the customer group work with relevant value chain(s) in prioritizing activities and initiatives that will be value adding
Ensure and develop solutions, tools, presentations and communication that reflect our total offering towards relevant customer groupings.
Ensure the same stays relevant and fit-for-purpose by working closely with the industry, sales network and Category Managers to understand product/system application and use, customer challenges and how our current and future offerings, solutions and tools will meet these needs to create profitable growth.
Provide understanding of the longer term business trends insight into Categories and Customer Group on offerings needed for usage situation and participate in relevant product innovations as well as on relevant industry trends that affect competitiveness.
Prioritize among digital opportunities that give rise to tools for assigned industry in collaboration with relevant functions.
Act as commercial owner and implementation responsible for relevant tools that are ranging across categories.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
Formal requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a field related to business management or with direct relevance to the energy market (e.g. engineering)
Experience of working with the Energy market – directly or indirectly. Having established industry-relevant network of contacts internally and/or externally will be an advantage.
Personal requirements
Ability to translate knowledge into concrete and actionable initiatives and to communicate effectively on the same
Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-borders with a wide range of stakeholders towards common goals.
Experience undertaking primary and secondary research projects.
Experience managing multiple projects involving multiple stakeholders in an efficient manner.
