Would you like to contribute to the green transition in shipping while developing your skills as a consultant?
The Environmental Advisory section in DNV Maritime supports our customers in optimizing their decisions on environmental technology, low-GHG emission fuels, and GHG and environmental policy. With more than 20 years of service deliveries dedicated to ship emissions and abatement strategies, our interdisciplinary teams have expertise ranging from detailed technical analysis to strategic advice.
We are now entering an era of profound change. The decarbonization of shipping will increase cost and complexity, as the use of low-GHG fuels will be mandated. We help stakeholders across the maritime industry in navigating this new era, managing transition risks and opportunities.
Our section is uniquely positioned to provide trusted knowledge and advice as a basis for investment decisions and the development of government policy and regulations. Working at the intersection of technology, economics, and policy, our competence is highly sought after in both industry and in public sector. Our section is responsible for initiatives such as the Green Shipping Programme, The Nordic roadmap project for future fuels, and the annual DNV Maritime Forecast to 2050. We also work closely with the industry on assessments related to issues such as ship recycling and biofouling, and we are the Norwegian NOx Fund’s technical advisor.
Due to a high and increasing demand for our knowledge and services, we are now looking for a new colleague to strengthen our team.
The right candidate will contribute to:
Feasibility studies of low- and zero-emission solutions, including maritime batteries, fuel cells, LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, biofuels, CCS, nuclear and other emission reduction technologies
Techno-economic modelling of fuel and technology options
Assessments of barriers and drivers for the transition to low-GHG fuel and technology
Assisting clients, ranging from shipping companies to authorities and incentive schemes, in developing environmental strategies and approaches for implementing emission abatement solutions
Analyses and assessments related to a broad range of environmental issues such as emissions to air, discharges to sea, biofouling, and ship recycling
Preparing clear, well-structured analyses and reports
Supporting client engagement, proposal development and other business development activities
