Looking for a role where you can take the lead on OT and cybersecurity in a fast-growing international renewables company?

Fred. Olsen Renewables is looking for a technically strong and broadly skilled OT professional to lead system operations and cybersecurity across our wind farms in Norway, Sweden, and the UK. In this role you’ll take the lead and set the standard for secure, resilient energy infrastructure in an increasingly digital and regulated energy sector.

This is a new position with end-to-end responsibility for the operation and security of our OT systems, including SCADA, OT networks, and remote access to infrastructure. You’ll report to the Head of Operations and collaborate closely with operations, IT and vendors – focusing on safeguarding the integrity and continuity of our energy operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Act as system owner for OT solutions across all wind farms


• Develop and implement technical and organisational security controls (IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001)


• Establish and manage access policies for the OT infrastructure and systems


• Design and maintain a robust OT network infrastructure, including segmentation, secure remote access, and monitoring


• Lead incident response in the event of cyberattacks or operational security events


• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, audits, and OT security planning


• Work closely with OEMs and vendors to ensure compliance and integration related to OT systems


• Define OT system requirements for new projects and support technology selection


• Serve as a strategic and hands-on advisor within the organisation on OT operation and security


• Stay updated on OT and cybersecurity developments and represent Fred. Olsen Renewables in relevant forums

Your qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in IT, electrical engineering, automation, cybernetics, or a related technical field. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.

• Relevant experience from OT/SCADA operations and cybersecurity.

• Strong understanding of access management, authentication, logging, and compliance requirements for OT systems and infrastructure.

• Experience with relevant frameworks and standards (e.g. IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001)

• Knowledge of OT protocols (e.g., Modbus, serial communication), IP networking, and secure remote access

• Advantageous with experience from industrial automation, renewable energy, or critical infrastructure

• Strong communication skills – fluent in English, and ideally with working knowledge of Norwegian
