Media Planner & Buyer

We are looking for a hands-on, analytical Media Planner & Buyer to join our team and strengthen how XXL plans, executes, and optimizes paid media across our Nordic markets.

As our Media Planner & Buyer, you will plan, buy, and optimize media across paid digital channels. You will work closely with our creative, commercial, e-commerce, CRM, and local market teams, as well as external agencies and partners, to make sure we reach the right customers, in the right channels, at the right time.

This is an operational role where you will combine media planning with day-to-day campaign execution, performance analysis, and continuous optimization.

What will you be doing?

• Develop media plans based on commercial objectives, target audiences, budgets and KPIs

• Plan and buy media across digital channels, including paid social, programmatic, video and display

• Set up, launch, monitor and continuously optimize campaigns across relevant platforms

• Manage budgets, targeting, bids, frequency and placements to maximize campaign performance

• Coordinate campaign assets and paid social content together with creative, commercial and local market teams

• Analyze campaign performance and turn data and insights into clear recommendations and improvements

• Collaborate closely with internal teams, agencies and external partners to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and according to plan

• Stay up to date on developments within digital media, social platforms, measurement, and advertising technology

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience within media planning and buying. You are comfortable working directly in digital advertising platforms and have experience taking campaigns from planning and setup through to optimization and evaluation.

You have a strong commercial mindset and understand how media investments can support both brand and business objectives. You are analytical and structured, but also proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple campaigns and stakeholders.

We also believe you have:

• A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

• Hands-on experience with paid social and programmatic media

• Experience translating commercial objectives into media plans, budgets and measurable KPIs

• A good understanding of targeting, reach and frequency, tracking, attribution and cross-channel measurement

• Experience using campaign and e-commerce data to identify optimization opportunities

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with proficiency in a Scandinavian language considered an advantage.

Experience from retail or e-commerce is an advantage, as is experience with platforms and tools such as DV360, The Trade Desk, Campaign Manager 360, Bannerflow, GA4, Looker Studio or Power BI.
