Are you a collaborative, solution-oriented professional with a passion for both payroll and accounting?

As a member of our team, you will play an essential role in ensuring smooth payroll processes and accurate accounting, all while working closely with a talented group of colleagues. Led by our CFO, the Finance team consists of 8 professionals covering a range of areas including accounting, payroll, controlling, and both internal and external reporting.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment but also takes the initiative to drive tasks forward and take ownership of challenges. If you have experience in both payroll and accounting, this role is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to Pexip’s growth. You will be responsible for managing and following up on the payroll process for the Pexip Group and our 300 employees, making a real impact on the day-to-day operations and long-term success of the company.

The position reports to Head of Group Accounting.

Role and Responsibilities: 

• Process monthly payroll for Pexip AS in Norway including calculations of wages, salary
  payments and reporting to tax authorities


•  Process monthly payroll for our11 subsidiaries based worldwide including communication with local payroll partners, review of wage calculations and salary payments


• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates


• Contribute as an accountant into our month end close process including reconciliation of accounts, VAT reporting, booking of invoices, payment to vendors and other tasks. 


• Travel and expense reimbursement 


• Work closely with HR and assist employees with payroll matters and questions


• Other ad hoc accounting tasks

Desired Qualifications: 

• 3- 5 years’ work experience handling the payroll process and daily accounting from similar size companies 


• Strong knowledge of Norwegian tax and wage laws including reporting to the Tax Authorities 


• Able to communicate well with both external partners and employees 


• Fluent in Norwegian and English orally and in writing 


• Experience from working with Visma.net or other similar cloud-based systems 


• Eager to find the best solutions and take initiative 


• Service minded with a positive attitude
