Project Engineer

Eaton\u2019s projects can involve every aspect of power distribution from low to medium voltage, UPS (uninterrupted power supply), and automation such as EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring System). The Project Engineer brings electrical knowledge during Design and implementation until handover. Such projects are mainly for data center fit out, but could include other types of large and complex projects requiring system integration. Site assignment for a short period of time can be necessary depending on the progress of the execution of the project.\n\nAs Project Engineer you will be responsible to coordinate all engineering activities including design, develop, and control the electrical systems for customer projects. Such projects are mainly for data center fit out, but could include other types of large and complex projects requiring system integration.\n\nWorking as an integral part of the Project execution team, you can work from a locaal (or home) base, whilst travelling as needed to other locations to the construction sites during pre-order/post order phases. You should be an experienced, composed, highly motivated, Electrical Engineer who can effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of stakeholders in a dynamic environment and who demonstrate an understanding of all project\u0027s electrical requirements. You need to work to specifications and liaise with Engineering consultant, General contractors, subcontractors and clients.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nYou will be responsible for Technical Scope Management of projects including but not limited to review and coordination with all relevant stakeholders (internal, external...) from tendering to close-out. Ensure technical alignment between projects and coordination with customer. Support PM to manage technical risk by ensuring rapid sharing of lessons learned as well as coordination of approach for maximum effect. \n\nFurther responsibilities:\n\n * Analyzing technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a given project.\n * Coordinating and liaising with Eaton engineers (Application engineers, Product engineers, Power system engineer, Cx team, Quality engineers...) and clients to ensure overall project execution\n * Provide and manage technical documentation and techsubs (SLD, Layout, Site Methods, Cx process and sequence) for any required projects\n * Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects to ensure documentation is delivered on time\n * Ensuring health and safety codes are obeyed at all times\n * Completing quality assurance on electrical components and projects, and writing up reports.\n * Support Root cause analysis\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Minimum Bachelors\u2019 Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering.\n * Experience in Electrical design from a system perspective (MV/LV), experience in Datacenter construction project, UPS, automation or power distribution is a plus.\n * Knowledgeable in basic electrical calculation, CAD, writing specifications and procedures.\n * Able to work in international and geographically decentralized project team.\n * Comfortable providing technical presentations to peers, customers and leadership regarding the details of technical issues\n * Strong analytical skills with the ability to do Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to understand and resolve problems\n * English is must, Norwegian is preferred.\n * Able to travel within EMEA region without any restrictions.\n\n\n\n## What we offer:\n\n * Competitive salary and benefits (annual bonus, pension contribution, partner agreements, etc.).\n * Supportive and collaborative local and international team.\n * Good career opportunities \u2013 We encourage internal promotion whenever possible.\n * Excellent work environment \u2013 \u200b\u200bsafety and ethics are very important to us.\n * Learning and development \u2013 \u200b\u200bWe invest in our employees for the long term with continuous learning and development opportunities through Eaton University.\n\n\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
