As Safety Advisor – Technical Operations, you will serve as the department’s subject matter expert on technical safety, providing authoritative guidance across CAMO and Part‑145 domains. You will play a key role in shaping, maintaining, and continuously improving the SMS within the technical areas, ensuring it remains effective, compliant, and aligned with industry best practice.

You will act as the designated deputy for the Team Leader, Technical Safety, prepared to assume full responsibility for the function when required and ensuring continuity of leadership and oversight.

Norwegian’s vision is to be the most loved and trusted airline in Europe, and our people are key to achieving that goal.

Here, you’ll find a diverse and dynamic workforce united by a shared purpose and passion for connecting people.

No matter your role, you’ll make engaging connections every day. We care for, encourage, and cheer each other on, celebrating new ideas and different ways of doing things.

  • Take lead on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System within the technical domains

  • Providing expert advice on complex technical safety matters, including maintenance errors, airworthiness concerns, and regulatory compliance

  • Leading complex, data‑driven investigations into significant technical events and identifying systemic risks

  • Developing robust, evidence‑based safety recommendations and mitigation strategies

  • Performing advanced analysis of technical safety data to identify trends and generate predictive insights for proactive risk management

  • Facilitate the Safety Action Group (SAG) meetings, often leading discussions on specific technical or regulatory topics

  • Developing and delivering advanced SMS and human factors training for technical personnel

  • Monitoring the effectiveness of implemented safety actions and recommending continuous improvements

  • Staying up to date with regulatory and industry developments within CAMO and Part‑145 and integrating these into the company’s SMS

  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager
