Accountabilities:
- Define and execute the long-term product and content strategy for the sports vertical, aligning user engagement with revenue and profitability goals.
- Own P&L performance, including traffic growth, monetization strategy (advertising, affiliate, branded content, and emerging streams), and overall vertical profitability.
- Build and scale product features that enhance engagement, retention, session depth, and lifetime value.
- Translate audience insights and market trends into actionable product improvements and new growth opportunities.
- Partner with technology, SEO, analytics, growth, and editorial teams to deliver roadmap initiatives efficiently and at scale.
- Lead experimentation initiatives, including A/B testing, funnel optimization, and behavioral analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Benchmark competitors and identify differentiation opportunities to strengthen authority and market positioning.
- Hire, mentor, and scale high-performing product and content teams while establishing strong performance frameworks and KPIs.
- Requirements:
- 7–10+ years of experience in product management, growth, or content-driven digital businesses.
- Proven track record of scaling digital products or content verticals within large publishing or media environments.
- Strong expertise in SEO, including on-page, off-page, and technical optimization strategies.
- Demonstrated experience owning revenue targets and successfully driving monetization initiatives.
- Advanced analytical skills with a data-driven approach to experimentation, KPI tracking, and performance optimization.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, global digital ecosystems.
- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and the ability to build quarterly and annual growth plans.
- Passion for sports and deep understanding of fan behavior, digital consumption trends, and content engagement patterns.
