RoomMate is a revolutionary safety sensor that detects and reduces falls using advanced algorithms. In addition, the sensor can be used for digital supervision and passive notification in case of dangerous situations. Both hardware and software are developed in-house by the RoomMate team.
About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our innovative RoomMate team – someone who is passionate about building impactful products, takes ownership of their work, thinks ambitiously, and thrives on making a real difference. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge healthcare technology and contribute to solutions that matter.
The working location is RoomMate’s offices at Hamangskogen 60, Sandvika, with the option of occasionally working from Sensio’s main office in central Oslo. We follow a hybrid model.
What you’ll be doing:
Developing Embedded Linux Applications – Design, build, and maintain high-performance C++ applications on Linux-based sensor platforms, focusing on higher-level application logic.
Integrating with the Sensio Platform – Implement software solutions that enable seamless communication between the sensor platform and the Sensio ecosystem.
Enhancing Signal Processing & Computer Vision – Collaborate on algorithms to extract meaningful insights from sensor data.
Team Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues and foster a culture of knowledge-sharing, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team.
Owning Complex Problems – Take initiative in solving challenging technical issues with autonomy and innovation.
Driving Product Discovery – Contribute to shaping solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges, ensuring meaningful impact.
What we’re looking for:
Solid experience in software development, with a focus on C++ and Linux application development.
Ownershipmindset, you anticipate challenges, take initiative, and drive solutions forward.
A team player, who thrives in a team environment, sharing knowledge and growing together.
A product-orientated thinker, you think beyond code and understand how technology impacts the end user.
Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus, or a willingness to learn).
