Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a member of our team, you will be working alongside engineers based in both the UK and Norway and sharing responsibility for the continuous development and improvement of our Pexip Web Video Client.

This role is based in our Oslo office in Lilleakereien, near Lysaker train station, working closely with colleagues in the UK and Norway. Occasional travel between these locations may be required.

Role and Responsibilities 

Your day-to-day work will initially focus on developing new features, as well as maintaining, testing, debugging and creating automated tests for these features for our video meeting and collaboration applications for web and desktop which includes a set of npm packages like our design system implementation, and various media and webrtc abstractions. 

You will collaborate with other developers working on the same codebase, as well as working alongside product owners, UX designers and other developers. We are looking for someone that is passionate about continuous learning and eager to develop new skills.  

To be successful in this role, you are likely to have following: 

• Degree in Computer Science.


• 3+ years of experience building modern front-end web applications.


• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and React (or similar frameworks).


• Experience working with API's and automated testing.


• Comfortable with Git/GitHub and code reviews.


• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.


• Ability to design user-friendly, high-quality UI solutions.

Nice to have:

• Experience with real-time or high-performance web applications.


• Knowledge of WebRTC, media APIs, or video/graphics technologies.


• Experience with web security. testing tools, or CI/CD


• Familiarity with design systems, Figma, or component libraries.


• Exposure to AI, WebAssembly, or cross-platform development.
