Job Description - Specification Sales Engineer - Norway

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nAs a Specification Sales Engineer for Norway, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key specifying entities within the Commercial \u0026 Industrial (C\u0026I) buildings segment, with a primary focus on 3\u2011phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. The main products are Eaton 9395X, 9595P, 91PS \u0026 93PS. Your goal is to ensure Eaton is specified early and accurately in customer projects, increasing win rates and helping shape technical solutions from the earliest planning stages.\n\nIn this role, you will work closely with engineering offices, consultants, major end-users, and partners involved in large or repeat-build projects. You will identify upcoming opportunities, influence project specifications, and ensure Eaton\u2019s solutions are positioned as the preferred choice. Equally important is the tracking and analysis of projects not specified by Eaton, helping identify root causes and drive continuous commercial improvement.\n\nYou will also ensure that all relevant opportunities are captured in Salesforce and that internal teams such as Project Sales Engineers, back-office teams, and project management are fully informed and prepared to execute. Ultimately, your success lies in maximizing both the volume and the probability of specification wins while leveraging Eaton\u2019s internal technical and commercial expertise to support project success across Norway.\n\nKey Responsibilities: \n \n\n\nMarket \u0026 Customer Engagement\n\n * Build and maintain relationships with key specifying entities across Norway\n * Identify early\u2011stage projects and influence specifications toward Eaton solutions\n * Conduct discovery meetings, customer calls, and regular follow\u2011ups\n * Represent Eaton at relevant Norwegian industry events and networks\n\n\n\n### \n\nOpportunity \u0026 Pipeline Management\n\n * Qualify leads and manage a structured pipeline\n * Prepare initial concepts, support bid/no\u2011bid decisions, and track project outcomes\n * Monitor projects not specified by Eaton and recommend improvement actions\n\n\n\n### \n\nInternal Collaboration\n\n * Coordinate project details with Project Sales Engineers, back\u2011office, and PM teams\n * Ensure smooth handover of opportunities and alignment across stakeholders\n\n\n\n### \n\nProcess \u0026 Continuous Improvement\n\n * Contribute to standardizing and optimizing specification processes\n * Maintain accurate documentation and support digital tool adoption\n * Drive continuous improvement in specification effectiveness and customer engagement\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Professional Technician, Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant education.\n * 2-5 years of experience in C\u0026I building projects, preferably electrical design or project management for larger installations, or equivalent experience.\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Strong communication and presentation skills\n * Analytical thinking and numerical proficiency\n * Proactive mindset with accountability and results orientation\n * Professional handling of objections and customer challenges\n * Relationship building and effective stakeholder management\n * Adaptability, resilience, and strong time\u2011management skills\n * Ethical, transparent, and strategically minded\n * Self\u2011discipline and independence (remote work\u2013capable)\n * Strong research skills and comfort with digital tools\n * Continuous learner with process\u2011improvement mindset\n\n\n\n#LI-OV1\n
