SVP Store Concept

XXL is on a "Reset & Rethink" transformation journey, and a lot is happening rapidly. We are now seeking a new Manager to lead our Store Concept department. You will be central to developing, improving, and implementing the future in-store experience. This includes various aspects such as interior design, exterior appearance, layout development, construction, and project management. You will work collaboratively across functions to ensure optimal value delivery to our customers, company, and employees. 

The position is based at our office in either Oslo or Stockholm.

Main responsibilities and tasks: 

As SVP of Store Concept, you will lead and constantly develop the store concept organization, delivering four main capabilities: 

Store Concept development 

• Continue development of a retail solution for XXL
  


• Manage and execute on test agenda 


• Secure a collaboration with internal 


• Ensure effective collaboration across the organization and with external suppliers to uphold XXL's brand strategy and visual profile


• Adapt store concept to local needs
  

Layout Development and Store Planning:

• Develop and implement space shape, size, and capacity requirements to ensure maximum productivity and shopping convenience for customers


• Create commercial ideas for every investment project, like new stores, downsizing, larger concept changes, etc. 


• In collaboration with architects develop store project-specific layouts

Store Projects planning and execution: 

• Lead the development of routines & guidelines that enable accurate investment project planning


• Develop and manage investment projects pipeline 


• Negotiate and secure contracts with Leasing, external suppliers, etc.


• Facilitate relevant internal approvals and develop project-specific time plans 
  

Store Establishment: 

• Manage the team of Store Establishers 


• In collaboration with Operations and Store Managers, secure all activities required to launch projects and ensure proper introduction of the store team to the finished project 


• Obtain relevant safety measures and licenses 
  

Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business or Urban Planning or other relevant fields 


• Comprehensive and relevant work experience in retail concept development and implementation
  


• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in direct leadership of teams catering to wide scope and multiple capabilities


• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in working for a multinational company within the retail sector offering sports goods, or large format apparel, shoes, lifestyle products, or similar 


• Fluent in English, verbal and written


• Driver license class B
