Technical Engineer

We are looking for a Technical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team, working to improve and further develop our high-end product lines. This position can be based in either Bergen, Norway, or Aberdeen, UK, and will involve close collaboration with colleagues, customers, and suppliers across our global organization.

Main Tasks

• Design and drafting in CAD
• Structural and integrity calculations using FEA
• Development of new products and technical improvements to existing products
• Coordinate and perform workshop testing and product validation
• Documentation of development projects in compliance with relevant industry standards
• Provide technical specifications for procurement and follow up manufacturing activities and vendors, ensuring documentation compliance with quality requirements
• Participate in Quality and HSE activities within the department, including handling non-conformances and improvement suggestions
• Participate in workshop testing and validation of products

Requirements

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a relevant engineering discipline, with more than 5 years of relevant experience in design and drafting. Relevant experience and competence may compensate for a lack of formal qualifications
• Innovative, systematic, self-motivated, and analytical, with the ability to see tasks through to completion while collaborating effectively with others
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
