We are now looking for a Tender Engineer to strengthen our team in Lysaker. The technical tendering team within the Umbilical & Cable Systems Business Line consists of 6-8 engineers working on a global portfolio of tenders and studies. The team is located in Lysaker Norway, and Houston/Mobile USA. As part of the engineering department, you will interact on a daily basis with colleagues working in EPC projects, subject matter experts, as well as the Sales and Commercial department. 

What will you be doing? 

• Develop technical and commercial tender solutions based on client requirements and project specifications


• Support early-phase engineering, concept development, and umbilical system design


• Lead technical reviews and collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver robust solutions


• Work closely with supply chain, cost estimation, sales, and business development teams to optimize proposals


• Prepare and present technical studies, tender documentation, and client-facing deliverables


• Identify risks and opportunities while driving efficient execution through strong stakeholder collaboration

• Have a professional background and experience that includes: 
  
  
  
  • A BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline) and 5+ years within the oil & gas, energy, or subsea industry
  
  
  • Experience with subsea hardware, cables, or umbilical systems
  
  
  • Exposure to tendering, bid preparation, or proposal development in a multidisciplinary environment is an advantage
  
  
  
  


• Communicate effectively in English, can explain technical concepts clearly, and thrive in both collaborative and independent work environments


• Are proactive and analytical, with a passion for problem-solving, continuous learning, and driving improvement
