The Tool Specialist is a multi-skilled personnel that will be responsible for all hands-on work at the rig site that is in Baker Hughes scope, with the exception of chemicals and fluids. This is an entry-level position responsible for the day-to-day activity, which will include rigging up/down of equipment, maintenance of equipment on the rig site, BHA handling, testing and calibration operations. Responsible for Baker Hughes inventory at rig site. Close collaboration with onshore project coordinator and order equipment as required. Responsible for all Baker Hughes inventory. Focuses on safe tool handling.

As a Tool Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Under minimal or no rig-site supervision, receive and follow detailed instructions on how to safely perform basic hands-on technical duties for the assigned product line services.
• Responsibilities include job preparation, pre and post job checks, load-out, rigging up and rigging down and field maintenance of equipment. Handle BHA's, perform radiation work as per certification, assemble pipes, hoses and maintain pumping equipment to specification using hand tools working independently.
• Must operate company equipment in a safe manner, observing all company and government regulations and arrive at jobsite or other designated destination at scheduled time.
• Maintain good customer relations and proper communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain regulatory documentation as required.
• Radioactive source handling.
• Handling and hookup of Directional, M/LWD Tools.
• Maintenance, operation & troubleshooting of gas monitoring equipment.
• Wellsite logistics & inventory management.
• Middle completions/packers, Gravel pack screens, Whipstock handling & slot recovery, Wellbore cleanup.
• Assisting wireline operations – Rig-up and wireline hoisting.
• Establishing connectivity from rig site to remote operations.

To be successful in this role you will:

• English language skills are required for this position.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited university or relevant industry experience within product line.
• Have relevant work experience.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate a Mechanical and or Electrical aptitude.
• Have interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues and customers across all businesses and cultures.
• Be able to manage multiple projects and/or deadlines.
