About the role

We are looking for a Kafka Streams Senior Engineer to join us here at Extenda Retail. In the role you will be part of a dedicated development team delivering products that contribute to the benefit of the society while working with business critical solutions.

Joining us means that you will get the opportunity to find yourself in a team of development experts with a special focus on Enterprise Automation and real-time processing. You will make a day-to-day development of tasks in complex applications and help us reduce time to market.

Your mission is to ensure that the infrastructure of our solutions lives up to high expectations of availability and stability, and support the team in further development of our products. Your main responsibility will be to contribute with Kafka Streams competence to develop stable and lightning fast microservices.

We run a scrum development process and we hope that you are an agile enthusiast who can help us improve as a team and push the pace of our agile transformation.

Your responsibilities

• Participate in the product development cycle, from idea generation to client delivery
• Development of product by implementation of new features and functions based on best practices
• Refining, maintaining and improving existing products and features
• Collaborate internally and communicate cross functional regarding usage and configuration of product features
• Estimation of development and automatic test effort
• Support colleagues and contribute to collective understanding

Skills and experience

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Higher level of education within Engineering and/or IT
• At least 5 years of professional experience as software developer
• Experience from larger software development projects
• Kotlin/Java
• Git
