IT support Intern, temporary part-time (20%)

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Intern to join our Enterprise Architecture & IT team on a temporary contract for a 20% part-time position for a duration of 6 months. This job is ideal for an IT student looking for work experience. In this role, you will be handle our internal IT operations, ensuring everyone in Airthings has the tools and support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Be the First Point of Contact: Provide friendly and effective first-line technical support to your colleagues across the company via our Helpdesk system, email, or in person. You'll tackle issues related to hardware (laptops, keyboard, monitor, meeting rooms, etc.), software (FortiClient, Wi-Fi profiles, printer drivers), and network connectivity, across Mac, Windows, and Linux.


• Streamline Onboarding & Off-boarding: Play a key role in welcoming new team members and managing departures by setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting workstations, laptops, and peripherals.


• Ensure System Integrity: Help maintain a secure and efficient tech ecosystem by conducting periodic hardware inventory checks and software license audits.


• Contribute to Key Projects: Collaborate with the teams on exciting projects, including system and firmware upgrades, new software rollouts, and network enhancements.


• Build Our Knowledge Base: Assist in maintaining and improving our IT documentation, including user guides, incident response playbooks, and knowledge base articles that empower our employees.


• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Participate in training sessions and webinars to stay up-to-date with the latest in Google technologies and IT security best practices.

Requirements

• Student in higher education with an IT background


• Be in the office during the agreed working hours


• We are an English-speaking company, so fluency is a requirement!


• Have experience in a relevant field within IT administration, IT support, and/or change management would be an advantage.
