Assistant Aquatic Manager - Dave Hume Pool

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Aquatic Facilities Leadership team, ensuring a united approach to the safe and efficient operation of the Katikati Dave Hume Pool and Learn to Swim Programme

About the Role:

As a part of our awesome aquatics team, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers are safe and well looked after while they have fun in and around the water. You will actively manage the venues staff, presentation and plantroom operations, interact with our customers and promote our positive and inclusive culture. You will primarily be responsible for the operation of our Katikati Dave Hume Pool Facility and Learn to Swim programme within it, while working within a collaborative team alongside our other facilities, programmes and services.

You will be given the opportunity to complete a range of transferable qualifications, from aquatic operation-based training through to business operation pathways... plus you'll get to work with a great bunch of people who want to make a difference in the community.

About You:

To be successful in this position you must:

• Be able to swim 200m in 6 minutes or less


• Be a committed team player, who is able to act in a proactive, professional manner


• Have the ability to retain professional demeanour, think clearly and remain calm under pressure


• Be passionate about swimming and what the pools have to offer our community


• Have (or could obtain) a First Aid Certificate


• Having a valid Pool Lifeguard Practicing (PLPC) Certificate is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided


• Experience in the Aquatic industry and/or managing people and venues
