Clinical Trials Coordinator

Healthvision New Zealand partners with Clinical Trial Organisations to support Investigational New Drug (IND) sites, enabling clinical trial patients to receive care in their own homes.  This supports both the clinic sites and patients in participating in clinical trials, providing them with easy access to study-specific observations and care, thereby increasing patient convenience, enhancing patient retention, and promoting research participation for all.

Healthvision is a lead provider of Specialist Homecare, Community Nursing and Rehabilitation services throughout New Zealand.

About the role: 

As a Clinical Trials Coordinator for Healthvision, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of clinical trials across various therapeutic areas, with patients receiving support in their own homes. You will work closely with investigators, Global Clinical Trial Organisations (CTO’s) & sponsors, to ensure compliance with protocols, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.

Job Location: Auckland (Greenlane)

Employment Type: One-year Fixed-Term (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operations of clinical trials from start-up to close-out in collaboration with CTO’s and Investigator sites


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date trial documentation and databases


• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP & GDP), ethics, and regulatory guidelines


• Liaise with investigators, CTO’s, and study monitors


• Train investigator sites and Healthvision Registered Nurses on trial protocols, systems and study specifics


• Grow relationships in Clinical Trials with Investigators


• Maybe required to visit trial patients

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, nursing, or a related field


• Registered Nurse with current practising certificate (APC)
  


• Experience in coordinating clinical trials is a requirement


• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Clinical Trial Coordinator
  

• Strong understanding of GCP, GDP and regulatory requirements


• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team


• Proficiency with clinical trial databases and Microsoft Office

Other Must have requirements: 

• Eligible to work in New Zealand

• Full NZ Driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle
