What does the Delivery Coordinator do?
The Delivery Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a smooth and excellent delivery flow across the engineering teams who are responsible for the software development of our public transit ticketing services and solutions in the Wellington region.

What will help you be successful in this role?
To feel at home and in step with how we work, you’ll have an enthusiasm for understanding the Engineering Team’s needs and supporting them in efficient delivery, as well as coaching the teams on best delivery practices, supported by the Head of Delivery.
You will also be expected to bring and build your confidence in communicating clearly and positively in and across a diverse team environment.

You keep delivery flowing
You manage and coordinate the team's workflow with clarity, ensuring alignment, momentum, and minimal blockers. Delivery risks are picked up early; you communicate them proactively and work with others to resolve issues before they become problems. You can build established habits and practices for tracking trends and patterns in delivery, helping the team continuously improve how they work.
You bring visibility, clarity, and calm
You ensure the team is actively working through the backlog — they can explain what they’re working on, and confidently choose what to tackle next. You make it easy for stakeholders to understand what's happening, what’s coming next, and where the risks are. You work closely with the Head of Delivery and wider business to provide a reliable pulse-check on progress, risks, and team needs.
You support the team, especially when things get messy
When issues arise, you ensure they’re handled by the right people in a timely and constructive way. You keep things simple, breaking down the inevitable complexities to help the team troubleshoot, triage, and stay focused on outcomes.
You're a champion of the team and an advocate across the Snapper team
You represent the team’s perspective in delivery conversations and protect their ability to focus and thrive. You build strong working relationships across Snapper, making collaboration smoother, quicker, and more human. You are a confident promoter of transparency and trust, and help avoid surprises.
You help align priorities and deliver value
You work closely with Product and Engineering leads to help set and reset priorities as things change, keeping everyone informed and involved, especially when trade-offs are needed. You work with the team leads to devise and deliver efficient day-to-day practice across the team, surfacing ideas, blockers, and opportunities for improvement.
