Marketing Coordinator (6-9 month contract)

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on team member to join our passionate, trans-Tasman Marketing team! Working alongside the wider Marketing and Transformation (M&T) team, and the Aotearoa-based Operations and Fundraising teams, you will use your generalist marketing knowledge to coordinate and deliver exceptional on-brand content for our Aotearoa audiences.

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of coordination and tactical implementation across content, social media, campaigns and brand activities. This role is critical in ensuring Orange Sky’s kaupapa of positively connecting communities is upheld through thoughtful, authentic, and impactful marketing practices, working up to 20 hours per week. 

This is a fast-paced, remote-based role where collaboration, relationship management, time management, and problem solving is key! You’ll thrive working both autonomously and as part of a team, with opportunities to connect and travel. This role will be responsible for: 

• Coordinating and producing high quality content (including interviewing)


• Planning, developing and scheduling social media content


• Campaign and project management to deliver marketing, operational and fundraising outcomes


• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with suppliers and partners


• Ensuring the Orange Sky brand is adhered to across communications, content and marketing activities

Who are we looking for?

We want you to demonstrate commitment to making a difference, with a passion for Aoteroa communities and a strong desire to contribute to a vibrant, kaupapa-driven organisation.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in similar role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector, with a proven track record in marketing campaigns, content or community engagement, as well as: 

• Strong understanding of the Aotearoa marketing and community landscape


• Excellent copywriting, project management, and communication skills


• Experience developing content across multiple platforms and mediums


• A high attention to detail, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet conflicting deadlines.


• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining honest relationships.


• Proactive, highly organised, and able to navigate a fast-paced environment.


• Growth mindset with a willingness to learn, problem-solve, and opportunity-spot.


• Ideally experience with a variety of platforms (Asana, Campaign Monitor, Canva)


• A preference of an Auckland-based candidate, but we are open to considering candidates from other areas who have the right skills.
