Senior IT Business Analyst

What’s the opportunity?

Frequency is a construction project management consultancy. We partner on complex projects across the built environment and value relationships, integrity, and delivering real value for our clients. We’re scoping a change to our core IT system and need a Senior IT Business Analyst to lead discovery, requirements, and UAT through to go‑live readiness. This is a full‑time, on‑site role for three months, starting by April 2026, with the possibility to extend into implementation.

What you’ll do

• Lead discovery and confirm what’s in and out of scope for our core system change
• Run workshops and interviews, agree RASCI, and lock in approvals
• Capture and prioritise business requirements (Must/Should/Nice‑to‑Have) and maintain traceability
• Map current and future state processes, data flows, dependencies, and migration prerequisites
• Support system review for fit‑for‑purpose; assist with configuration decisions and change control
• Drive UAT end‑to‑end: test cases, coordination, defect triage, sign‑off, and go‑live readiness
• Prepare phase‑two requirements and a pragmatic backlog
• Update processes, manuals, and training materials; support training and change adoption
• Embed good health, safety, wellbeing, and sustainability practices in how we deliver change

What you’ll bring

• Senior BA experience leading scope and requirements for core platform change (e.g., ERP/PSA/Finance/Project Ops or similar)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation across business and technical teams
• Clear documentation skills: scope baselines, MoSCoW, RASCI, process mapping, traceability
• Hands‑on UAT leadership and go‑live readiness experience
• A practical, collaborative style that balances pace with risk and quality
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or professional services is a plus
• Current NZ work rights
