About Summer Law

We have an opportunity for a summer law clerk to join this years programme.

Our summer law programme runs from November 25 to February 25 offering you an insight into a large and progressive law firm. You will work with experienced partners, providing you with the opportunity to build both your professional and personal skills in a fun and forward thinking environment.

Our summer clerkships provide an opportunity to rotate through and fully immerse yourself in various areas of law, offering you the chance to do real work with real clients from the get go. On top of this you will have a buddy and ongoing support from a diverse team of junior and senior lawyers as well as training sessions from some of New Zealand's top legal experts. 

We understand the importance of your clerkship and are committed to providing you with a unique developmental experience, arming you with all of the tools you need to build a solid foundation for your legal career.

About you

You will  be in your penultimate year of law school, want to build a career in commercial law and will have a lively and engaging mind. Whilst academic excellence is appreciated, we also value life experience and a thirst for continual learning and growth.

If you like to dig in and get the most out of every opportunity, you will enjoy working with us. Our hands-on, collaborative approach means you will quickly find yourself an invaluable part of the team you work with.

Our recruitment process starts with you submitting your CV, academic transcript, and answering some questions. You do this via our website.

Later stages of our process include an online assessment, an opportunity to catch up with some of our juniors to ask questions and gain more insight into our summer law programme and firm, and finally you will have an interview with a partner, a senior author and a member of our people and culture team. This is another great opportunity to ask as many questions as you'd like about the firm, the work involved and what's in it for you.
