Job Description - Accountant / Accountant Assistant with BIG Future opportunities.

Job Description:

  • We are looking for a skilled group of accountants.
  • Accounting Assistants are responsible for assisting Accountants with Bookkeeping and other Accounting tasks.
  • We are looking for an experienced person to join our team and help out with every aspect of accounting in our property business.

  • You will work from our Birkenhead office.
  • Shifts will be discussed upon interview and successful application and will be based on what is best suited for our company and your schedule.
  • Monthly salary - beats all competitors.After 3 months, salary will increase upon the growth of the company and your work ethic and results.
  • You will be working full time on accounting matters.
  • Keep admin in order.
  • Work on Xero on daily deal with calls from clients.
  • File documents properly.
  • Speak to customers and pass information onto the sales team.
  • You will also set up new finance company accounts and set up accounting for Xero training for various branches.

Our industry is property finance and property rentals. You will be dealing with our Rent to Buy finance division, our backyard homes finance division, mortgage brokers nationally and many more private lenders.

  • The ideal candidate will know the XERO software very well and be able to demonstrate this upon interview.
  • Will highly consider younger people with proven Xero experience.
  • We will supply a mobile phone.
  • When you have proven you can do this work well after a couple of months, you will have the choice to work from home and the office.

Tasks will include:

  • Assist accountants and other financial professionals with creating and editing financial documents.
  • Organize the bookkeeping process of the company.
  • Evaluate financial budgets and track expenses.
  • Draft and report financial presentations.
  • Reconcile financial books including incoming and outgoing funds.
  • Invoice and receipt clients.
  • Contacting clients.
  • Deal with IRD and GST commitments.

Skills needed:

  • Preferably 2+ years of Xero experience or profound knowledge of Xero
  • Computer skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Time management.
  • Systems analysis.
  • Mathematical and deductive reasoning.
