Accountant - Remote Work

Job Description:

Principal Financial is seeking a passionate and resilient Accountant to join our team on a remote basis in Dunedin, Otago, NZ. In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making - Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting - Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices - Participate in audits and compliance reviews

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Strategic planning and analysis skills - No prior experience required
