Job Description - Accounts Administrator

About the company: Formed in 2006, Christchurch European have established themselves a New Zealand wide reputation of providing the best selection of late model and competitively priced Luxury European Motoring. We specialise in European vehicles to suit all budgets and deliver frequently nationwide to all main centres. At any one time we generally have 250 vehicles on site and another 20-40 on route to New Zealand. Since 2023, we also have our own on-site European Car Repair workshop and Service facility. We are currently looking for an Accounts administrator to join our team. About the Position: This is a full-time role based in Sockburn, Christchurch. Hours will be 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. You will be working closely with the Managing Director and Service Manager to provide administration services for Management, Sales and Mechanical staff. Responsibilities: • Stock system maintenance incl vehicles, shipping and reconditioning expenses. • Accounting system maintenance incl data entry of all accounts receivable and payable. • Mechanic Database maintenance including invoicing. • Daily Bank reconciliation. • Processing of daily payments. • Customer service and first point of contact for customers as needed including phones. • Month End reporting. • Health and Safety system updating • Ordering of stationary and other common supplies. Necessary Attributes: • Attention to detail. • Ability work under pressure, within timeframes. • Ability to be a team player and work with others internally and externally. • Self-motivated. • Dedicated to continually improving client service. • Strong communication and Time Management skills. • Be computer literate including knowledge of Windows. • Previous experience using Motorcentral or Xero will be an advantage but not necessary.
