Accountant - Work from home

Job Description:

Marathon Oil is seeking a dedicated and resilient Accountant to join our team as a remote employee in Wellington, New Zealand. As an Associate Level Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall accounting process.

Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable - Prepare and review financial statements and reports - Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Support the annual audit process - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management - Collaborate with other team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes - Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - 3 years of experience in accounting - Strong emotional intelligence and ability to work well in a team environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively - CPA certification preferred
