Your new company


You will be joining the Corporate Operations business group within a large government organisation whose head office is based in Wellington CBD. This team is currently in the midst of an exciting time of change and as such is offering the opportunity to get involved in a plethora of career-shaping projects.

Your new role


As a pivotal member of the Finance Team you will ultimately be responsible for providing support to Senior Managers and their groups through strategic business partnerships. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Providing relevant and timely advice and coaching to Senior Managers and their groups
• Providing support to the Director or Business Partnering in ensuring that key issues/risks are highlighted
• Challenging decisions where appropriate and provide apt solutions
• Supporting with business planning, risk management and forward planning
• Problem-solving and taking a lead on decision-making

What you'll need to succeed


You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on results. You will have the ability to engage with and influence senior team members and will feel confident in challenging decisions when appropriate. You'll be a strategic thinker who will challenge the norm and 'think outside the box' in order to deliver a solution that suits all parties. In order to be considered for this role you will ideally have experience working in a medium-large public sector organisation and will also hold a Chartered Accounting qualification. All applicants must be currently residing in New Zealand with full working rights.
