Job Description - Commercial Support Specialist

THE OPPORTUNITY:

You will be part of a team of four (a wider team of 11) supporting the Commercial team through interpreting data sets, incentive scheme administration, target setting, Zendesk query management and generating reports.

You will provide support to the Head of Commercial Finance and our Commercial Sales Team with a focus on delivering accurate reporting/data sets and enabling the Commercial team to do what they do best (sell our awesome brands).

This role would suit someone who has excellent attention to detail and 3+ years’ experience in a finance, analysis, an accounting role, or a role that required a high level of accuracy and significant excel work.

The role would suit someone looking to develop skills as an Analyst working with Finance, IT and Operations teams to develop system knowledge and build your Power BI skills.

KEY RESPONISIBILITIES:

  • The focus of the role will be to providing support to our hardworking Commercial sales team through management of incentives, query management through Zendesk, financial insights, reporting and targeting.
  • Administer the NZME Commercial incentive scheme (through incentive management software)
  • Managing and extracting data to from our Data warehouse to provide reporting, ensuring data integrity is maintained.
  • Utilise Power BI and other software to provide insightful analysis.

ABOUT YOU:

  • 3+ years of practical experience in general finance, analytics, accounting, or a role that requires the core competencies outlined in the opportunity (above)
  • Proficient in using MS-Office and a minimum Intermediate level skill in excel.
  • Relevant tertiary level qualification in Accounting/ Commerce/Finance useful (beneficial but not essential, self-taught skill sets are highly valued in this team).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interested in data and the ‘why’.
  • You’ll bring a high degree of attention to detail often utilising different reports/systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
