The Opportunity

Our Christchurch branch currently has an opening for an Account Broker to join our Domestic Lines team. This role would see you responsible for supporting with the day-to-day servicing of clients for their personal insurance needs, including home & contents and motor vehicle insurance. Working with a diverse range of clients, you will engage with customers over email, phone and face-to-face, as well as assisting with general administrative tasks. A newly created role due to growth, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with experience in customer service or administration to progress their career and move into the insurance industry.

You would be responsible for:

• Managing client quotes and renewals
• Managing the insurance claims process for clients
• Preparing policy schedules, client presentations, and reports
• Liaising with insurance provider and other external stakeholders
• Supporting with ad-hoc branch duties alongside the wider team. 

About you

You could have a background in Administration & Customer Service with a passion for putting the customer first and going the extra mile. Prior experience in Insurance or Financial Services with Level 5 accreditation would be helpful but is not essential – training can be provided for the successful candidate.

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Confident phone manner
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
• A great team player with the ability to get along with a wide variety of people
• Computer proficiency with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word).
